In 2001, the Flowport woofer technology used with the 605 S2 floor-standing speaker became part of all 600 S3 models. Using the same idea that speeds up a golf ball's flight by reducing air turbulence, Flowport smoothes the flow of air through the bass port, reducing port noise while deepening the response.
