If your Marantz or Denon network radio has stopped working properly during the last year, the reason is a change on the part of the service provider. Denon and Marantz use the vTuner service, which has decided to charge for their services.
The price is 3 USD per year (so at the current exchange rate it is about 2.50 Euros). On the one hand, it is only a symbolic fee, but on the other hand, no one expected it at the time of buying the player. A fair solution would be to introduce a fee only for new models that their future owners will know about when buying. The good news is that paying the fee is fast and works immediately.
So how does a change in Internet radio affect?
The last played stations still work, but if you choose another selection, e.g. regional stations, recommended, etc., you will see e.g. "visit www.radiomarantz.com or www.radiodenon.com". This site will then redirect you to https://marantz.vtuner.com You do not have to log in to this site and waste time with your email address and password. All you need is the MAC address of your device, which you can find in the network settings directly on the receiver. After filling in the MAC address, you will see it in the upper right corner of the page. Then just choose to pay $ 3 for premium access. After clicking, 2 options will be displayed - payment by card or payment via paypal. Payment by card did not work for me (it was not possible to write numbers in the form), so I chose to pay via paypal. The payment went smoothly and the radio started working immediately as before.
